Located in the iconic Gray Building on Main Street, the Northfield Boys & Girls Club offers a drop-in space for youth ages 13 to 18 during afterschool hours, 2 – 6PM, Monday through Thursday and 3-10pm on Friday. The Club is a substance-free, supervised, safe space where youth can gather to have fun, attend workshops and learn leadership skills with supervision from two trained adult staff.
The space is structured to provide ample opportunities for activities such as pool, ping-pong, board games and fitness programs. We provide healthy snacks daily and a place for youth to do homework. The Northfield Boys & Girls Club is a youth-led space with a monthly open Teen Council meeting to discuss and plan what happens in the space. Every young person who uses the space is encouraged to voice their opinion and play a role in shaping the club. Youth play a key role in determining schedules of activities, resolving conflicts, and maintaining a safe and respectful space, with guidance from two experience and trained adults.
