Basement Teen Center AmeriCorps Member (Full time or part time option)

Would you like to make a real difference with teens? We are now accepting applications for an enthusiastic, creative full-time AmeriCorps Member to serve from approximately September 2022-August 2023. AmeriCorps is a national service program that engages more than 75,000 Americans in intensive volunteer service each year at nonprofits, schools, public agencies, and community and faith-based groups across the country.

The BTC AmeriCorps Member will work to maintain a safe and engaging space at the BTC through programs, initiatives, and activities that help youth develop skills, engage in social activities and become active in their community.  The member will help plan and facilitate programming centered around healthy meals, physical activities, civic engagement (discussions, service projects), creative expression (music, art, writing, photography), academic support, life skills development, volunteer recruitment, and more! Members receive a $16,700 annual living allowance and upon successful completion of service, are eligible for a $6,495 education award to apply toward existing or future education loans. Youth & Family Counselor/Case Manager (Part time, full time option)

Seeking a 60% FTE (22.5 hours/week) Master’s level clinician to provide case management, crisis intervention and individual or family counseling for youth ages 12-22 in the Washington County area who are at risk for homelessness, have run away or been pushed out of their homes and are at risk of involvement with the Juvenile Justice/Child Welfare system. A fulltime position will be considered for the right candidate. The counselor will be responsible for responding to incoming referrals and determining the appropriate course of action; will manage a caseload of 9-12 clients; and will develop and implement an individual plan of care for each case. Return House Residential Support Staff – All shifts (Barre)

Return House, a residential reentry program in Barre, serving young men ages 18-22 returning to the community from jail, is seeking Support Staff for all shifts, weekends included. Support Staff provide supervision of activities and guidance to residents, including detailed accounting of resident activities, and strict adherence to program policy and procedures. Support staff will assist and engage residents in facility maintenance including cleaning, shopping, menu-planning and food preparation to develop skill building wherever possible. Other duties can include facilitating activities that address basic life skills, health and fitness; community engagement through volunteerism and the promotion of positive leisure activities to support residents in becoming productive members of their community.
